Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) is a leading role-player in the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” a Netflix series. The show revolves around the adventures of a group of girls, who come together as heroes when they are out on patrol, or sometimes even on a date.

Season one of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina had the girls go to meet their cousins in an attempt to save the world from destruction. They caused a super-storm by creating a bubble that they lifted and then launched it into space, thus causing a “bubble shift”. The season was a bit over the top in terms of the storylines and it ended up being too scary for children and many adults alike.

The idea of witches saving the town of Greendale and the girls joining forces to defeat him was interesting, but the ending was predictable and the girls being captured and being forced to serve a short jail sentence just didn’t seem right.

Another change with the second season was that the show switched to being a Saturday morning cartoon, which was not a great change because people who are young or old, or who don’t watch cartoons at all, might not understand what is going on.
I’d love to say that I saw it coming, but I’m sure that I didn’t. I don’t know why they decided to make the show more modern, but I guess they felt that having a cartoon that showed other aspects of the day-to-day life of the girls would be more interesting.
Have you met the Dark Lord yet?
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season two also featured many new villains, many of whom were not from the original series. Some of them were revealed to be running things at the Powerpuff girls’ school, like General Scales, Robot, Wonder Twins, and even Mr. Stinkinpants.
However, the biggest change was that the show’s showrunner, Genndy Tartakovsky, wasn’t behind the scenes anymore. He was replaced by John Pomeroy, who brings a fresh voice to the show.
The villains were actually somewhat better in this season than in the first, because unlike before, the main villain, Jason, was played by Jason Manford.
Not only was he able to add a lot of weight to the character, but also a ton of personality, which made the character much more appealing to the audience. He brought the villain to life and he was able to pull off some really bad acting scenes with some of the villainous moments.
The season two finale of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was even more spectacular than the original season finale, which is saying a lot, as the original finale was so over the top and so scary for children. This season’s finale was much more atmospheric, and there was not a lot of action, but still an effective ending.
I did have one complaint about season one, that I’ll have to say is on-point and on-message. I am not one to watch The Powerpuff Girls, so I am a little spoiled by the fact that the episode ended on the exact same way as the season one finale, but I think it would have been nice if it ended after the second episode of the season, where the girls learned that Jason had escaped.
